Ammoudi Bay

Do you like cliff jumping?

If yes, you should definitely visit Ammoudi Bay and jump from the rocks inside the Caldera. Here people are sunbathing on the rocks and jumping in the sea when they need to get cooled down. It is even possible to swim and climb the small rock with Agios Nikolaos church. This spot is a bit hidden and you need to know it. From Ammoudi Bay you have to walk left along the cliff side on the rocks and continue straight ahead.

Rocks (no beach)

Fancy & Exclusive

Perivolos is the beach area southern of Perissa. The two areas have almost grown together by the past years but they offer different atmosphere. It is one of the better beaches on the island with several of different options of more comfortable sunbeds and umbrellas. Perivolos offers more fancy and exclusive atmosphere with more expensive beach restaurants like Seaside by Notos. Many young people stay sunbathing during day and partying in the afternoons. The beach bars have loud music and sometimes during high season they have guest DJ playing. Water sports are offered on the beach and there are also beach volley fields.

Pebbles and sand

Pebble Beach

The about 2 kilometers beach path of Kamari creates the center of the village during summertime when everyone is seeking the sea. You find restaurants side by side and a lot of sunbeds and umbrellas along the beach. The sea is a bit difficult to enter because of the pebbles and it is highly recommended to use swimming shoes. The beach is slightly better as closer as you get to the mountain side. In Kamari they also offer a smaller selection of water sport activities.

Eros Beach

A dramatic scenery

Follow the signs to Vlychada and you will find the dirt road to Eros Beach from the right side of the road. In this area the ashes from the vulcanic eruption 1645 BC are creating dramatic scenery. There is one restaurant and they offer sunbeds and umbrellas on the beach or at their terrace overlooking the beach. If you get restless during your stay you can make a nice walk along the beach to Vlychada.

Pebbles & sand

Family friendly

This beach is one of the most family friendly beaches in Santorini. There is a playground and a beach volley court at the beach so it is possible to combine beach and activities. The beach is with black sand and when you enter the sea it doesn't get so deep like the rest of the island. There is a good parking in front of the beach, a mini market and two tavernas.

Colombus is one of the more unspoiled beaches of Santorini. Here it is possible to be a bit more isolated than most of the other places on the island. The beach is surrounded by wild landscape and has often a nice breeze from the sea. Swim on the right of the beach to the Seal Cave. The beach is not organized and there are no sunbeds and umbrellas. The beach offers you instead the possibility of staying in the shades formed by the rock standing behind the beach. There are no restaurants.

Red Beach

Look but do not touch

This giant, red rock raises up from the sea on the southern part of Santorini. It is truely an impressive view! Because the rock is very unstable it is not recommended by the authorities of Santorini to go and stay at the beach! A comfortable and good solution is to watch the red beach from the sea on a boat trip.

White Beach

By boat

This beach is close to Red Beach on the southern part of Santorini and you can only reach this beach by boat. It is a bit smaller and with only a few sunbeds and umbrellas. The beach got the name from the white cliffs that surrounds the area and it is a nice place to swim in the crystal clear water with beautiful rocks. You need to bring food and beverage since there is no restaurant.
